Hello fight fans, we are back with another weekend filled with amazing fights to watch and bet on. This week we shifted the action from the Octagon to the boxing ring in Florida. Triller is back with another one of their entertaining boxing cards this weekend.
They always find a way to create a buzz around their fight cards and this time they have involved former President Trump to commentate on the fights. The card revolves around fun fights involving former UFC fighters, so we are in for a treat. We’re thrilled to watch these fights play out so, let’s dive right in!
Tito Ortiz vs Anderson Silva
We kick things off with the co-main event of the evening fought between former UFC champions. Tito and Silva are both recognized as dominant UFC champions of their era with multiple title defenses against fellow legends.
Tito Ortiz is currently 46 but best known for his 5 title defenses and big fights in the UFC against big names in Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Ken Shamrock and Wanderlei Silva, etc.
Tito was primarily a wrestler throughout his career but developed good striking toward the end of his MMA stint. He had 10 career knockouts to his name which solidifies his knockout power claims, and his striking has looked better throughout the years.
Tito will be facing arguably one of the best fighters to ever step foot in the Octagon, The Spider, Anderson Silva. Silva had one of the most dominant UFC careers which saw him go on a 16-fight win streak including 11 title fight victories.
Silva was primarily a striker with unorthodox boxing and a kick heavy approach in his MMA fights. Towards the end of Silva’s MMA career, he had evolved into an excellent boxer who would brawl with his opponents for the majority of his fights. 23 career knockouts prove the striking acumen of Silva who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the UFC.
This is an exciting fight but is not a tough one to call, Silva is the much superior striker here who has fought and beaten boxing veteran Julio Cesar Chavez Jr 2 months back. Although Ortiz will always have a knockout puncher’s chance in every fight he enters, we are picking the Spider to get the nod here in dominant fashion.
Selection: Anderson Silva (Win market) @ 1.07
Evander Holyfield vs Vitor Belfort
The headliner of this event features a late-minute replacement bout between former WBA Heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield who steps in on short notice against former UFC veteran Vitor Belfort.
Holyfield is a 4-time world champion and a hall of fame inductee; he is also always a part of the best boxer of all time argument. He has had a near-perfect career that involved him knocking out fellow legend, Mike Tyson.
Holyfield has 44 career wins and 29 knockouts to his name; he has faced the best competition that the world of boxing has to offer. He steps in after 10 years for his 57th professional boxing bout this weekend to solidify his legacy.
Holyfield’s dance partner this weekend is the former 3-time UFC title challenger, Vitor Belfort. Belfort was one of the most feared fighters and knockout artists in the UFC during his prime.
He has finished and beaten legends of the MMA world in Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold, Dan Henderson, etc. Belford has 18 ferocious knockout wins to his name and an iconic MMA record worthy of being cherished by fight fans around the world.
There is no question about it that Holyfield is the more technical and sounder boxer out of the two but there are many factors which will influence the outcome of this bout. Holyfield is 14 years elder than his counterpart at 58 years old and his last professional bout came a decade ago.
Belfort is the more active, faster, and fitter fighter out of the two currently. Considering the stakes and the fact that Evander has taken this fight on very short notice we think Belfort is going to get the better of the legend this week.
Selection: Vitor Belfort (Win market) @ 1.36
