Not our greatest week last week with a couple of wins and more losses. But this week, our elite soccer betting tips are back with a real bang! Just like the UEFA Champions League and Europa League!
Let’s not waste any more time with our tips this week!
Inter Milan vs Getafe – Inter Milan Win to Nil – Yes @ 2.34
This match promises to be a fascinating contest. Inter Milan are coming off a strong finish to the Serie A campaign that saw them finish 2nd with a 2-0 win against a potent Atalanta side. They face Spanish side Getafe who shocked everyone with their elimination of last season’s UCL semi-finalists Ajax in the round of 32. Despite this, their form heading into this match has been very down. They’ve scored only one goal in the last month and ruined any chance of European football next season. If Inter can hold a side that scored 95 league goals to a clean sheet, we’re confident they can do it against a side who hasn’t played in weeks and with such a poor scoring record. 2 units seems fair here.
Manchester United FC v LASK – 1×2 & Both Teams to Score Manchester United FC & No @ 1.91
LASK have lost their last four matches, failing to score in all but the 3-1 loss to Rapid Wien in the league. Manchester United’s strong recent form took a slight dip through their last few matches, so they will be very keen to remind the world who they are. Although we enter this second leg with United up 5-0, we still expect a decent outing from the Red Devils as they seek to progress in the Europa League in style. We expect a low scoring win from United, with a clean sheet courtesy of the curiously nicknamed Chiquito, Sergio Romero (hopefully!). It is tempting to tip LASK to score given the magnitude and nothing-to-lose nature of this match for them, but we think Ole’s men at the back will have them covered. We’ll go 2 units here too.
Copenhagen vs Basaksehir – Basaksehir to win & under 2.5 goals @ 5.00
With a 0:1 1st leg result this will be a tight affair. Regardless, low scoring is a theme for Copenhagen, as nine of their last ten UEL games have produced under 2.5 goals, with five featuring under 1.5. The struggles in front of goal will be amplified with two of their strikers being ruled out (Santos banned; Fischer injured).Basaksehir have the experience of Martin Skrtel and Gael Clichy in defence to subdue a makeshift attack, we fancy the newly crowned Turkish champions – an impressive feat within itself, in an extremely competitive league – to show their class and edge out the Danes without their home advantage. We’ll go 1 unit here.
Barcelona vs Napoli – 1×2 & Both Teams to Score – Barcelona & Yes @ 2.95
Both teams go into this one with their respective domestic seasons ending in a whimper, Barcelona having lost out on the La Liga title to Real and Napoli finishing a lowly seventh in Serie A. With Barca getting an away goal in their 1-1 first leg encounter, Napoli will need to score to have any chance of going through. With Insigne, Milik and Mertens they certainly have the tools to grab an away goal. However, it’s Barca’s away form which has been their downfall this season, drawing way too many matches. At the Nou Camp they’ve been a different proposition, winning 16 out of 19 games in the League. With that in mind we fancy them to go through in what should be an entertaining encounter. Take Barcelona and Yes in the ‘1×2 & Both Teams to Score’ market at 2.95. 1.5 units seems right for this one.
Juventus vs Lyon – Juventus -1.5 @ 2.19
Going into this tie at 1-0, a round of 16 exit in the Champions League is certainly not what Mauricio Sarri’s plans were coming into the season, especially after seeing his side win yet another league title. As for Lyon, a lack of football will see them behind the 8-ball. Just one match of meaning since March, amongst other friendlies due to Ligue 1 conceding their season due to Covid-19 means they will still look to shake off a bit of rust throughout this match. Expect Juventus to win this tie in normal time, meaning a two goal win to the home side. 2 units for this one!
Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors – Total (Incl. Overtime) Under 223.5 @ 1.94
This is a clash between two incredibly accomplished defensive teams. So far in the NBA Bubble, Toronto have been simply astounding on the defensive end, conceding an average of just 96 points per game to their opposition. The suffocating defensive talent of the Raptors – from lockdown players such as Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry and OG Anunoby – is enough alone to consider the Under a good bet here.Enter the Orlando Magic to sweeten this one even further. The 5th ranked defense in the NBA this season – giving up just 107.6 points per game – the Magic’s entire game plan is built around grinding the opposition down with disciplined team defense. Not only this, but the Magic rank in the bottom 5 in the NBA in points per game, field goal % and three point %. All signs point to a low-scoring contest from these two defensive juggernauts. 1 unit for this one.
Florida Panthers v New York Islanders – Winner (Incl. Overtime and Penalties) Florida @ 2.09
Coming in 0-2 down in this best-of-five series, the Panthers must win or endure an early Summer break. Having lost 2-1 and 4-2 in the first two matches, they must feel they are in with a shot at a fairytale comeback. The Islanders have been touted as a possible Dark Horse title contender, but have not played as well as the series scoreline might suggest. The Panthers took a one goal advantage twice in Game 2, while the Isles have been heavily reliant on Jordan Eberle’s solid recent form. If Florida can lock up some of New York’s firepower while maintaining their scoring run, they can make this series 2-1 and keep their season alive. We’ll also plonk 1 unit here.
