West Ham vs Chelsea – Double Chance – West Ham & Draw @ 1.99
It’s been one hell of a season for David Moyes and the Hammers, with Champions League well and truly on the cards. They play host to a Chelsea side who have been hit with fixtures left, right and centre over the last two weeks, with a 0-0 draw to lowly Brighton coming earlier in the week. Given Thomas Tuchel’s aspirations to win the Champions League after coming so close last season, it wouldn’t surprise us if the former PSG boss put a focus on that competition ahead of the Premier League, where it looks likely they will finish around the top four anyway. For the Hammers, it’s a chance to play in Europe for the first time since 2017, when they were knocked out of the Europa League qualifying rounds. With this in mind, back the Hammers and their strong home record to get at least a point against a tough, yet tired Chelsea side. 1 unit.
Leicester City Vs West Bromwich Albion – Leicester -1 @ 1.99
Despite coming off two straight losses in the league, the Foxes and Brendan Rodgers will be bolstered after reaching the FA Cup Final. Their opponents will also have their tails up however. West Brom have been playing like a team possessed and Sam Allardyce seems to be hellbent on getting them to safety, no matter how improbable it may seem. Although they’ve played out of their skin recently, we’ll back the Foxes to take care of business at home and all but confirm the Baggies’ drop to the second tier. 2 units.
ATP – Barcelona Mens Singles – Quarter 2 Winner – Pablo Carreno-Busta @ 1.85
Currently 2nd Fav behind World No. 9, Diego Sebastian Schwartzman, Carreno-Busta offers a bit of value to win his Quarter. Both D.S.S. & P.C-B have to come through their 3rd Round/Last 16 matches vs Corentin Moutet (WR: 75) and Bernabe Zapata Miralles (WR: 147). It is here I see a potential banana skin for D.S.S. – Moutet knocked out Dan Evans (WR: 26), a player in blistering form in Monte Carlo last week where he reached the SF, beating Novak and then Goffin, before losing to eventual champion Tsitsipas. P.C-B has a match-up Vs fellow Spaniard, who had checked-out midway through the second set, but fortunately for him, the mercurial Fabio Fognini gets himself defaulted for abuse of an official. Regardless, we should expect a QF tie between Schwartzman and Carreno-Busta, which I think could see P.C-B go off as favourite with home crowd advantage – he obviously relishes it after he took the ATP title on clay in Marbella on the 11th April. In the previous round he has breezed past Jordan Thompson in straight sets, 2 and bagel. D.S.S. on the other hand lost the 1st against the Tiafoe, a player more suited to hard-court. This highlights his lack of form, with this his 1st win since beating Mannarino on a hard-court on the 30th March; it looks like the market is taking their relative rankings too seriously. 2 units.
Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Hornets – Winner (incl. Overtime) – Charlotte Hornets @ 2.21
The Bulls have been dreadful since the trade deadline – and this is a big surprise, since they picked up All-Star big man Nikola Vucevic to plug a significant hole in their lineup. People anticipated that the added scorer alongside Zach LaVine would help the Bulls making a climb up the standings in the tight East playoff race, but LaVine has missed some games and the Bulls have been pathetic defensively. Here, the Bulls are on the second half of a back-to-back, playing this game at home. You’d think that being at home would be a good thing, but Chicago are actually worse at home than on the road; with an 11-18 home record and a 13-15 away. They’re still missing their top scorer in Zach LaVine and today got soundly beaten by a terrible Cleveland outfit. We like the Hornets here, purely due to the utter dysfunction that is the Chicago Bulls. Although the Hornets will be without two of their best players in Gordon Hayward and LaMelo Ball, we still think there’s enough healthy talent on the roster to knock off these troubled Bulls on their home court. 1 unit.
CSGO Dreamhack Masters Spring – Pain Gaming vs Heroic – 1st Map – Total Rounds (Incl. Overtime) Over 24.5 @ 1.77
Heroic has been making some noise in the CSGO competitive scene recently having won ESL Pro League Season 13 and was on a 12 win streak up until Gambit put a stop to it in 18th of April in the Blast Premier: Spring Showdown Round of 4. But we all know they are hyped because of that insane clutch by cadiaN (touted to be the most insane clutch of all time) against Gambit to ultimately win the ESL Pro League. I don’t mean to take away anything from their stellar performance but Pain Gaming could be a sleeper here. The boys from Brazil are having a little streak of their own, albeit mostly on B-Tier tournaments. They have some pretty skilled players on their roster as well, skilled enough to win at least 9 rounds I think just to go over 24.5 in case Heroic does take it. I’m also banking on the fact that these teams have never met before and that anything can happen in a Best-of-1 match. 1 unit.
Orlando Magic vs New Orleans Pelicans – New Orleans -7.5 @ 1.93
With just a few weeks to go in the regular season, this game only really means something to the travelling Pelicans. With playoff hopes pulling away from the Pelicans, they simply need to start winning games, and playing well. They face an Orlando side who is 1-9 over their last ten matches, and is 18-40 on the year. Their side has been decimated of late, leaving a starting five that that does not compare on paper to that of the Pelicans. Unfortunately for the Pelicans, basketball is not played on paper, and it has been showing recently. Four losses in a row, including two in OT, I sense the travelling team will be looking to make a statement, not to the league, but a statement to themselves by beating the Magic comfortably. December 2017 was the last time NOLA defeated Orlando, this will change tomorrow. 1 unit.
Leicester City FC vs Crystal Palace FC – 1×2 & Both Teams to Score – Leicester City FC & No @ 2.16
The Foxes’ form in the league has not been brilliant – they have lost their last two to Manchester City and West Ham United. However, they have won four of their last six matches in all competitions, including huge FA Cup victories over title chasers Manchester United, and Southampton. It’s tempting to tip the upset here, but Crystal Palace have nothing to play for. We don’t think Roy Hodgson’s men can do it this time around, and Iheanacho and Co will be too strong for them. 3 units.
