Manchester City FC vs West Ham United FC – Double Chance – Draw or West Ham United FC @ 4.10
The Chosen One may well be a moniker associated with a former club, but it serves The Hammers’ boss well today. David Moyes is leading his team through a run of form that has fans and pundits tentatively whispering about a possible European adventure next season. West Ham were killing it, and just brought in Manchester United loanee Jesse Lingard. The team is on a tear, several key players are fit and firing, and the stage is set for a tremendous upset. Yes, Manchester City seem unstoppable right now, and have some key players returning from injury. However, their recent match against Borussia Monchengladbach and reintroduction of several big names could both cause synergy and fitness problems for the ‘The Gundogang’. Don’t go all in, but we think there’s hope for the men in Claret and Sky Blue. 1 Unit.
Leeds United vs. Aston Villa FC – 1×2 – Leeds United @ 2.26
Last week, we backed against Aston Villa as they played powerhouse Leicester; this week we’re going to do the exact same as they travel to Leeds to take on Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking outfit. The main aspect of this pick is the continued absence of Jack Grealish for Villa. Without him, they possess far less of a creative threat going forward. Leeds finally have a strong defence on the park after having had to play multiple players out of position to cover for injuries this season. With this improved backline against a diminished Villa attack, we see it being difficult for the away team to put the ball in the net here. In a match where Leeds will be their usual attacking selves, Villa will likely have to score multiple goals just to stay in touch with their opposition. We don’t see this happening, and the Leeds price of 2.25 looks like nice value as a result. 1 unit.
Leicester City vs Slavia Prague – Leicester -1 @ 1.95
The second leg of this tie is set to be an intriguing one, with all to play for, following a 0-0 draw in Prague. Leicester, who have lost one game since the middle of December, have been one of the most exciting teams to watch across European Football this season. Holding a place in the top four in England, they will look to the Europa League as a huge trophy to potentially make a run for in such a positive 2020/2021.In Europe, Leicester have won seven of their last eight home matches. This one will look to be more important than ever, since a score draw will see them eliminated. Slavia Prague are winless in England, most recently falling to Chelsea, and Arsenal, Spurs and Leeds previous to that over the past 20 years. Despite their good form in the league, you would expect Leicester to be up for this one, earning Brendan Rodgers a place in last 16 for the first time in his coaching career. 1 unit.
Everton vs Southampton – 1×2 – Everton @ 2.25
It’s been a rollercoaster few weeks for the Toffees. After tough results against Fulham and Man City, they rebounded remarkably with a famous Merseyside derby win at Anfield. They now return to Goodison Park to play host to a Southampton side who can’t take a trick at the moment. Their 1-0 win against Liverpool, that took them to 6th and in touch of sides in European qualification, now seems a lifetime ago. They’ve dropped to 14th since then, having lost four of the last five, most recently with a 3-0 loss to Leeds at Elland Road. Although Goodison hasn’t always been a happy home for the home side, we feel Carlo Ancelotti will be hell-bent on ensuring that Everton make the most of their games in hand with Europe still a distinct possibility. Back them in to take their momentum from the Liverpool game and get a win at 2.25 here, a price too good to pass up. 1 unit.
Chelsea Vs Man Utd – 1×2 – Draw @ 3.30
Manchester United side make the trip down to London to face Chelsea in a game that could have ramifications for both teams. United know that anything less than a win just about ends their title aspirations with them being ten points behind a Manchester City side who’ve won 19 matches on the bounce across all competitions. Three draws in the last five has seen their challenge falter and they’ll be desperate to nick a win at Stamford Bridge. With Bruno Fernandes in their line-up you certainly can’t rule them out. Chelsea on the other hand are two points off the Champions League places, and will fancy their chances of catching a West Ham team who have been performing above expectations all season. The Tuchel effect seems to be taking hold at Chelsea, with an extremely creditable win against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in their last outing. They’re also unbeaten in eight in the league, with six victories and two draws. Interestingly, only two of those victories have been by more than one goal (against Burnley and Newcastle) and with the exception of Spurs, every team they’ve played have been in the bottom half of the table. United will be a different proposition, undefeated away from home all season and aside from Fernandes with plenty of potential match winners in their squad. However, Chelsea certainly aren’t any pushovers and can likewise point to numerous players who can significantly influence the outcome of any game. We think these two may end up cancelling each other out and the draw at 3.3 looks worth a bet.
WGC – Workday Championship at The Concession – Bryson Dechambeau – Top 10 Finish @ 2.80
Given the fact that this golf course hasn’t hosted a PGA Tour event in the past, it’s harder to go on course history for the 72-man field. However, one player who can bash the ball anywhere he wants has won at this track – Bryson DeChambeau. With this course relatively unfamiliar for most pros, why not select a player that’s won on it, albeit at the collegiate level? DeChambeau is still first in strokes gained off-the-tee and strokes gained tee-to-green this season, as well as second in total strokes gained. Finally, the a couple of stats that read well for this 2.80 bet is from the five events played in 2021 season, the ‘Mad Scientist’ has finished in the Top 10 three times; this is a continuation of 9/17 from the 2020 season…back this price every week, you’re in good profit! 1.5 units.
Denver Nuggets vs Washington Wizards – Winner & Total (Incl. Overtime) – Denver Nuggets & Under 236.5 @ 2.49
I know right, backing the complete opposite of what happened in their previous meeting. Hear me out for a second. First, a key player in their last match was Davis Bertans who had a career high 35 points. For someone who’s averaging 11 points this season, I don’t expect him to have a repeat performance. Second, Washington will be ending a 4-game road trip in Denver so Washington might not have fresh legs to duke it out with the Nuggets. Lastly, that previous game was for the Nuggets to take and surely, they must have done their homework to avoid their shortcomings. 1 unit.
As we said last week, we’re going to let you guys have a tip each week! Starting this week, we have Delorean who has tipped the following bet.
AS Monaco vs Stade Brestois 29 – 1×2 & Total – Monaco & Over 2.5 @ 1.87
Monaco is in fourth position in the French soccer league standings. He has 54 goals for by 37 goals against. As important players they have Golovin, Ben Yedder and Volland. Stade Brestois 29 is in twelfth position in the championship. They have 39 goals in favor and 47 against. As important players they have Moiné and Faivre. My sports forecast is that Monaco will win and there will be more than 2 goals in the match. Monaco has just won 0-2 at PSG and they have shown very good form and a great competitive level. They play an offensive game and must win this match as they are in fourth position and only 3 points behind second place that entitles them to participate next year in the Champions League. Stade Brestois is a team that concedes a lot of goals and their defense is not good. They come from losing the previous game 2-3 against Lyon giving many facilities.
