Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur – 1×2 & Both Teams To Score- Spurs & Yes @ 3.35
Spurs need to win this one to give themselves any hope of pinching that top four place that’ll get them Champions League football next season. Since Jose Mourinho was ignominiously booted out of Spurs replacement Ryan Mason has overseen two EPL wins, beating Southampton 2-1 before going on to stuff relegated Sheffield Utd 4-0. Gareth Bale scored a hat trick in that match and coupled with Son and Kane up top there’s certainly not a shortage of goals in this team with them averaging well over two a game in their last twelve games. Bielsa’s Leeds will have been very disappointed with their performance against Brighton in a 2-0 defeat. They hardly troubled the Seagulls all game. They did however have arguably their two most influential players missing in Raphinha and Kalvin Philips, both of which should be in line to return against Spurs. Although Leeds have tightened up defensively in the second half of the season, they’re still known for being one of the most attack minded teams in the EPL. Spurs will have been buoyed by that 4-0 demolition of Sheffield Utd and will want to finish the season strongly to give themselves any chance of making the top four. However only West Ham have conceded more goals than them away from home this season. Expect them to nick this against Leeds in a game that should have a few goals in it. 1 unit.
Golden State Warriors vs Oklahoma City Thunder – Handicap (Incl. Overtime) – Oklahoma City Thunder +12.5 @ 2.07
The Thunder are good enough to compete to a reasonable standard in this league. It is quite clear they are tanking – they signed a guy literally named Charlie Brown out of the G-League and gave him a starting role for the past couple of weeks. Some of their best players have been in and out through injuries and “injuries” throughout the season, and the young guns have been given a green light to shoot, try things out, and get familiar on the NBA court. This is all part of Sam Presti’s master plan. Often the Thunder compete and even dominate early on before a steep decline in the latter stages of the game after the Spirit of Cade Cunningham whispers into their ears. This match could go either way, really. Either the Thunder will lose by about 45 with full-tank-mode initiated from tip-off, or they’ll hold their own and only switch off toward the end to possibly lose by only a couple of possessions. We think the latter is likely here as OKC have had a sometimes bitter rivalry with the Warriors lately, so they won’t want to give it to them too easily. 1 unit.
AS Roma vs Manchester United – Double Chance – AS Roma or Draw @ 1.93
A strange tip considering the 6-2 scoreline just last week in favour of United? Probably. Will United play with the same intensity now that the tie is over? I doubt it. With a new coach in Jose Mourinho in the ranks for next season, and a lot more than just pride on the line, we envision an AS Roma side show why they have made it this far in the tournament by gaining a result against the Red Devils in their home leg. 1.93 presents some value here. We also suspect Ole Gunnar might rest (not all) but a few players from their best 11, which makes this tip more tasty. 1 unit.
Liverpool vs Southampton – Liverpool to win to nil – Yes @ 2.30
Although the Reds have had a season to forget after winning the Premier League last season and the Champions League in 2019, they should still be able to pick up full points here. They’ve been the victim of late equalisers in recent weeks, both against Leeds and Newcastle. They now face a Southampton side who have been in freefall since, funnily enough, they beat Jurgen Klopp’s charges at St. Mary’s in January. Anfield hasn’t been the happiest hunting ground for Liverpool this season, with many surprise losses and dropped points which, albeit are partly due to lots of injuries to key players, probably have cost them the title. Even though they’ve been a shadow of their best selves in 2020/21, without Jannik Vestergaard at the back due to suspension, the Saints are vulnerable and a potent Reds attack should find some goals. We’ll also back them in to hold firm and keep the clean sheet. 1 unit.
Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets – Brooklyn Nets Total (Incl. Overtime) Under 117.5 @ 1.97
The Nets are currently averaging 117.77 points which is pretty much bang on with the line I am taking. You could say it’s pretty much 50-50 but if you look at the last 3 games of Brooklyn, they only went above their average once and that’s by scoring 118 against the Milwaukee Bucks in a loss. The other two games they scored 114 against Brooklyn and a measly 109 against Portland. Worthy to note here that Milwaukee and Portland are in the bottom third, 21st and 23rd respectively, in terms of points allowed while Dallas currently sits at 9th. The Mavs’ defense this season has been something they have been working on and what better way to prove it than to shut down two of the biggest superstars in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. 1 unit.
Indiana Pacers vs. Atlanta Hawks – Handicap (incl. Overtime) – Atlanta Hawks -4.5 @ 1.86
The Indiana Pacers are falling apart in front of our very eyes. It’s always interesting viewing to watch a team lose chemistry and cohesiveness with one another – and we’re going to take advantage of it here by betting against them. There was a very visible on-court stoush between the players and the assistant coaching staff in the middle of their previous match; a blowout loss to the Kings.Yes, the Kings who have a win % of just .440. The Hawks have just completed a demolition of one of the best teams in the NBA – the Phoenix Suns. We can’t be the only ones seeing the writing on the wall here – a dysfunctional squad at the end of a tired season coming up against a red-hot team fighting for the 4th seed in the East? With both teams on the second half of a back-to-back and the Hawks possessing the deeper squad to dip into, we see the Hawks covering this handicap. 1.5 units.
This week’s Community Tip comes from user sAik1 who has taken the following.
Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid – 1×2 – Barcelona @ 1.82
In this direct confrontation with the leaders of the competition, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona has the golden chance: to take the lead for themselves. Barcelona is rediscovering its way of playing, with Messi being magical and decisive in most of his performances. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid has been stumbling in front of opponents considered weaker. The match must be very tough for both sides as they have good technical skills available, but I believe that Barcelona will not let this opportunity pass.
