All the preamble in the world won’t do justice to tonight’s F1 finale as Abu Dhabi plays host to the most incredible Championship showdown.
If you haven’t been following, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have been locked in battle since the first race of the season and they go into tonight’s race equal on points.
Verstappen caused a shock by winning pole position in qualifying but Hamilton will be right there with him from P2 when it’s lights out.
That said, despite all the talk about potential crash tactics from Verstappen, who would win the title on count back, it does appear a more flowing track than previous years.
For that reason there’s a decent possibility we won’t see a full safety car and at $2.50 it’s well worth exploring that option on the punt.
Lance Stroll starts from P13 and while he doesn’t have an easy path to the points, it’s a genuine possibility if Aston Martin can produce the right strategy on the night.
He’s around $3 to finish in the top 10 so that’s our second play for the night.
Finally, if you’re a bit of a glory hunter, the first driver to retire market is always a fun one to play. Rather than pluck a name out it’s worth considering No Retirements at around $8 in the hope we have a good clean race.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy history tonight under the lights of Abu Dhabi because we may never see something like this again.
