Welcome to the 10th Edition of our Weekly Preview.
Last week, we hit quite the road bump with our selections but we are very confident that we will get back on track this week.
With only eight weeks left in the NFL regular season, we are ready to get on quite a hot streak to finish the season.
If this is your first time reading our Weekly Preview, we offer a five-day slate of predictions starting from Thursday and ending on Monday.
This covers the NFL Thursday Night Football, a Friday college football game, a Saturday college football game, a Sunday NFL game and finally the Monday Night Football Game to end the week!
With that said, let’s get into the winners for the week!
NFL – New England Patriots @ Atlanta Falcons
The New England Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the league winning their last four games.
Mac Jones has played the Quarterback position well as a rookie and the Patriots defence has given up 13 points in the last two games.
On the contrary, the Atlanta Falcons are 4-5 and are in need of a win after getting completely manhandled by the Dallas Cowboys last week.
Luckily for the Falcons, they are back at home for the first time in November.
One of our favourite strategies is to fade a rookie quarterback playing his first game on a weekday slot.
Mac Jones has played on Sunday Night Football, but has never played on Thursday or Monday Night Football.
Luckily for the Falcons, this will be his first start on a short week.
Also, the Patriots are due for a road loss as they are still undefeated on the road.
With all this said, we are quite confident that the Atlanta Falcons will cover the 7 point spread on Thursday Night Football.
Selection: Atlanta Falcons +7 @ 1.84
College Football – San Diego State Aztecs @ UNLV Rebels
Is there a better way to start the weekend of college football then taking the late night Friday game before the full slate of Saturday games?
The #19 ranked Aztecs head into Las Vegas to take on the 2-8 Rebels.
At first, this would look like a completely lopsided game but the Rebels are playing a lot better football in the month of November.
They are on a two game win streak and have been quite competitive in four of their last five games.
For the Aztecs, this is what you call a “sandwich” game.
They just won a hard fought game against a good Nevada team and have a very tough Boise State squad next week to end their regular season.
They also have a ton of pressure on them because they still have not clinched a spot in the Mountain West Championship game.
With all that said, we expect a huge letdown for the Aztecs.
While we’re not 100 percent confident that the Rebels will pull an outright upset here, we are very confident taking +10.5 points with them.
Expect a late night thriller here, with this game being a lot closer than most people would expect.
Selection: UNLV Rebels +10.5 @ 1.92
College Football – Wake Forest Demon Deacons @ Clemson Tigers
One of our favourite strategies betting college football is taking a unranked home team that is laying points against a ranked opponent.
This is a classic example with the #10 ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons taking on the unranked Clemson Tigers.
The Tigers have been a disappointment all season but still have a slight chance to play in the ACC Championship game.
They haven’t beaten a ranked opponent all season but we are quite confident that they will not only win but cover the 4.5 point spread about the Demon Deacons.
First off, Wake Forest can not play any defence.
As bad as Clemson’s offense has looked, we expect them to be able to move the ball easily against a defence that gives up 440 yards a per game.
On top of that, Clemson has a very good defence that has only given up 27 points twice this season.
We expect them to shut down Wake’s high power offense and dominate both lines of scrimmage.
Don’t overthink this one and think that getting the #10 team in the country as an underdog is a value bet.
Clemson will not only win but they will easily cover the -4.5 spread today. Take the Tigers and feel very confident with this play!
Selection: Clemson Tigers -4.5 @ 1.89
NFL – Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks played one of their worse games last week against the Green Bay Packers.
Russell Wilson had two key interceptions and they were shut out on the road.
Luckily for the Seahawks, they are facing a Cardinals team that is severely banged up on both sides of the ball.
We thought it may have been too early for Wilson to come back from his injury and it showed last week.
We expect him to look a lot better this week though at home in a game that is a must win for the Seahawks.
At 3-6, the Seahawks still have a shot to make the Playoffs.
Their remaining schedule is quite easy and they should be able to knock off a few wins in a row if they can beat the Cardinals here.
Also, the Cardinals have been very impressive on the road this season going 5-0.
We expect a slip up here for a team that has been overachieving for the first half of the season.
Expect the Seahawks to come out playing inspired football.
Not only should they cover the +2.5 point spread but they should pull the outright upset here!
Selection: Seattle Seahawks +2.5 @ 1.95
NFL – New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Are you ready for some Monday Night Football? Don’t look now, but Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost two games in a row.
Luckily for them, they are heading back home to Tampa after two straight road losses.
Lining up against Brady and the Buccaneers are the 3-6 New York Giants.
Winners of two out of their last three, the Giants are starting to come together as a team and are playing competitive football.
We always like to take a team that won a game going into their bye week.
The Giants beat the Raiders before their bye and now have a ton of momentum on their side.
Though we would be shocked if they pull the outright upset here, we are very confident that the Giants will keep this game close.
10.5 points is way too much for a slumping Buccaneers team to be giving up, and we expect Daniel Jones and the Giants to keep this game within a touchdown.
Take the Giants and the points here and expect a great Monday Night Football game!
Selection: New York Giants +10.5 @ 1.92
Ten weeks in and our multi still has not hit. We are very confident that we will hit it before the end of the season and we love the card this week. Why not give it a shot this week at 24/1? Best of luck everyone!
