Welcome to the 6th edition of our Weekly Preview. For the fourth time in five tries, we went 3-2 (60 percent) for the week.
We are still anticipating a breakout week where we sweep the board. This week’s card looks quite appealing, so let’s get down to business!
If this is your first time reading our Weekly Preview, we offer a five-day slate of predictions starting from Thursday and ending on Monday.
This covers the NFL Thursday Night Football, a Friday college football game, a Saturday college football game, a Sunday NFL game and finally the Monday Night Football Game to end the week!
With that said, let’s get into the winners for the week!
NFL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Are you ready for some Thursday Night football? Tom Brady and the Buccaneers head into Philadelphia to face an Eagles team that is winless at home.
With question marks surrounding Brady’s thumb, we are quite positive that he will not be 100 percent against a hungry Eagles defence that looked a lot better last week against the Panthers.
The Eagles showed a lot of heart last week with a great comeback and we would be shocked if they laid an egg on National Television.
We expect Jalen Hurts to manage the game and do enough to keep the Tampa Bay Buccaneers highly explosive offense on the sidelines for most of the game.
With the Eagles gameplay of milking the clock and trying to run the ball, we expect this game to go under the Over/Under which is currently set at 52.5.
With so many questions regarding injuries to key players on the Buccaneers, we believe it’s smarter to simply bet the under 52.5 on this game.
Expect ball control from the Eagles in a defensive chess match that ultimately comes down to the wire.
College Football – California Golden Bears @ Oregon Ducks
After a heart-breaking loss to Stanford on October 2nd which most likely ruined an opportunity of playing in the College Football Playoff, the Ducks had the week off to rest and refocus.
They will be back in Eugene on Friday Night hosting the Golden Bears that have played competitive in all of their games despite a record of 1-4.
With no ranked teams left on their schedule, the Ducks will most likely win out and leave their hopes of playing in the Playoff up to the committee.
Ranked #9 currently with a lot of the teams above them having much harder schedules to end the year, the Ducks still have an outside chance to get in.
We expect them to play up to their full potential on National Television and show the world that they belong in the Playoff conversation.
Expect them to not only win, but to win in dominant fashion. Feel quite safe laying the 14 points here and expect the Ducks to blowout the Bears and start getting a pep back in their step.
College Football – Iowa State Cyclones @ Kansas State Wildcats
Iowa State may be one of the biggest disappointments so far in the first month and a half of the college football season.
Ranked #7 going into the season, the Cyclones find themselves unranked despite having been favoured in all five of their games.
Both of these teams had a week off to prepare for this Big 12 matchup and we expect the Cyclones to turn up the heat going into the second part of their season.
Though blowing out the Kansas Jayhawks is nothing to brag about, the Cyclones finally looked like a well oiled offensive machine.
With an extra week of preparation, Brock Purdy should be ready for what the Kansas State defence will throw at him.
The Wildcats on the other hand, started off the season 3-0 and have suffered disappointing losses to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
We expect a lacklustre offensive production out of them with the Cycles comfortably winning and covering the spread on the road.
Though it’s hard to lay points on the road in college football, expect the Cyclones to play a complete game and dominate these Wildcats.
NFL – Arizona Cardinals @ Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns had 500 yards of offense, 0 turnovers and scored 40 points and still managed to lose against the Los Angeles Chargers last week.
We strongly expect that the Browns defence will play a lot better this week at home against the red hot Arizona Cardinals.
The Browns are finally coming home to Cleveland after playing two hard fought road games.
Instead of getting a cupcake game, they square off against the only undefeated team left in the NFL.
Many people will look at this line and not understand why the only undefeated team is a 3 point underdog against the 3-2 Cleveland Browns.
Simply put, we believe that the Browns are a better football team than the Cardinals.
On top of that, west coast teams traveling east and winning is never an easy accomplishment.
With what happened last week to the Browns, we expect them to come out firing again offensively and to create a few defensive turnovers to win this game.
Though it’s never easy betting against an undefeated team, feel quite confident laying 3 points with the Browns.
NFL – Buffalo Bills @ Tennessee Titans
Are you ready for some Monday Night Football?
We are currently 5-0 on Monday Night and are expecting to continue our success this week with a huge matchup between the Bills and the Titans.
Last year the Buffalo Bills went into Tennessee and got completely embarrassed losing 42-16.
Unfortunately for these Titans, the Buffalo Bills are on fire and are looking to build on their momentum after beating the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
The recipe for success against these Bills is to keep their explosive offense on the sidelines if possible. The problem with that is that the Bills have a great defence.
Luckily for the Titans, they have Derrick Henry who will get the rock at least 30 times and will be able to milk a ton of clock.
The Titans have a horrific schedule where they play the Chiefs, Colts, Rams and Saints next.
We expect them to shorten this game as much as possible and keep the high powered Bills offense on the sidelines.
Instead of picking a side here, we are going with the Under 54.5.
Expect a lot of running from both teams in a game that easily flies under.
This will be an old school football matchup that will be decided in the trenches.
Take the under and ride with us on Monday Night Football!
While we are happy that we are going 3-2 on a weekly basis, we feel like we need to finally sweep the board.
This week, the multi pays a little better than 25/1 and we are quite confident that we will hit it. Try your luck and expect us to definitely hit the multi before the season is over!
