Ah the Premier League, the holy grail of world soccer – it’s back! We know 5-leg multi bets aren’t easy to knab, as you may have seen in our betting tips last week. But we won’t stop – here are Stake’s five best Premier League betting tips for the return of the greatest league in the world.
Aston Villa vs Sheffield Utd – 1×2 – Draw @ 3.35
With this seasons surprise package Sheffield Utd gunning for Europe and Aston Villa fighting to stay in the Premier League, expect a competitive fixture down at Villa Park tonight. With United having the highest amount of away draws in the league and the lowest goals scored in the top half of the table, we’re not convinced they have the firepower to beat Villa. Back the draw at 3.35.
West Ham vs Wolves – Wolves to win @ 2.15
In a sport where the 12th man is the great leveller, pre-Covid West Ham won just one point in four games at the Olympic Stadium. We see their home form worsening with no fans in attendance vs a superior Wolves squad, who still have a very real chance of clinching a Champions League spot.
We also like Wolves to win both halves at 6.40.
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth – Both halves under 1.5 @ 2.19
Despite sitting in 11th on the table, Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace would be in a relegation scrap if the League was decided by goals scored. They’ve only registered 26. Bournemouth on the other hand, who are legitimately in a fight to avoid the drop have only scored 29. At 2.19, we think there’s good value for a fixture that will more than likely be closely contested.
Aston Villa v Chelsea – Both teams to score @ 1.71
Villa feature again! Chelsea’s defence has been suspect, and will continue to be until their transfer window opens – where they will be able to spend their monster budget. But we do also know, they love to score. After struggling at home to Villa earlier this season, where this leg also hit, we expect both teams to score in a fun game at Villa Park.
We also like Chelsea to win and both teams to score at 2.85.
Norwich City vs Southampton – Southampton to win @ 2.23
Despite sitting in a lowly 14th, the Saints have registered more wins than Arsenal this season. Norwich play a risky brand of football, which has led them to hold the worst goal difference in the league. It’s far from a guarantee, given Southampton’s 15 losses this season. But at 2.23 and with Norwich all but relegated, it’s way too good to pass up.
We also like Danny Ings to score at any time at 2.00.
