Hey fight fans, what a couple of weeks there have been for us fight lovers. We had two cracking PPV cards filled with fights which ended up delivering.
UFC 268 as promised was worth cancelling all plans as we believe we arguably witnessed the fight of the year between Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler.
We also had some great bets last week, our parlay of Justin Gaethje + Kamaru Usman delivered with a near plus money selection.
Our faith in our brand ambassador Marlon Vera also paid off as Chito got a highlight up-kick knockout.
This week we’re back to the Apex for a thrilling fight night card, there are some exciting contender matchups on this card along with a much-anticipated top-5 featherweight bout.
Fight fans usually mark the calendars when a Max Holloway fight is announced, the best boxer in the UFC is back this weekend for an amazing showcase and we cannot wait, so let’s dive right in!
Max Holloway vs Yair Rodriguez
Yair Rodriguez makes a comeback after two long years and he will do so against the people’s champion and arguably the best featherweight of all time, Max “Blessed” Holloway.
This fight can easily headline a PPV, so we would recommend tuning in for this main event this weekend as it is going to be a cracking affair between two elite strikers.
Max Holloway is a true showman and one of the best fighters to ever step foot in the UFC Octagon.
Max is an anyone anywhere kind of a fighter as he is always game for a fight regardless of the odds, and this attitude has won him the hearts of fight fans globally.
Max went on one of the most impressive win streaks which saw him beat current lightweight king Charles Oliveira, former UFC champion Anthony Pettis and the King of Rio Jose Aldo twice.
Max has won four fight of the night accolades in his last eight showcases and by many was seen as the guy who beat the current undefeated UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.
His counterpart this weekend has been one of the most entertaining contenders in this already stacked Featherweight division.
Yair Rodriguez has proven that he can hang with the best in his victories against The Korean Zombie, Jeremy Stephens, B.J. Penn & Dan Hooker.
Yair has a unique kicking game based on his black belt in Taekwondo. He is all heart and always puts up a show for the fans which makes this a perfect fight.
Yair possesses a dangerous finishing game with his dangerous kicking game on the feet and threatening submissive wrestling offense.
We’re in for a great war this weekend, the pathways to victories are clear. Max Holloway is the much superior boxer so he will cover the distance with his jabs and get into boxing range to outbox Yair.
Contrarily, we can expect Yair to keep Max at bay with his side-kicks & leg kicks while threatening takedowns when Max gets too close.
Our first best bet this week comes in a main card Bantamweight division bout between Song Yadong and Julio Arce.
The odds are quite close here but we think the Chinese boxer is simply the better fighter here and has fought better competition.
We are tipping Song Yadong to win in this bout as we see him out striking his counterpart to win over the scorecards or even a late finish.
Following up on the success of our two-leg parlay last week, we’ve got another one for you guys this week. We are picking both Thiago Moises & Max Holloway to win their fights.
Thiago Moises is fighting a tough contender in Joel Alvarez, but we think he’s fought some great fighters to prove his skills.
Thiago has built a great striking game to support his already threatening BJJ game. We think he will mix everything up well to win in this bout.
The second part of our multi involves the blessed express to continue its journey. We think Max Holloway is just too good for his opponent and the odds suggest that as well.
Max Holloway is one of the best boxers, he has a great chin, excellent cardio, and championship experience which will help him get over the line this weekend.
